Welcome to ThreadNode ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing, registering for, or utilizing ThreadNode via web or mobile applications, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms govern your access to our digital wardrobe tools, Personal Style Guide (Thandi), Store Browser, and Virtual Fitting Room.
2. Governing Law & South African Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
3. User Accounts & Content Ownership
You retain full intellectual property ownership in all wardrobe photos and measurement data you upload to ThreadNode. You grant ThreadNode a non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free license to store, process, and render your wardrobe items and Virtual Fitting Room previews solely for providing personalized wardrobe services to you.
Your Data Stays Yours
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal wardrobe collections, images, or body measurements to any advertisers or third-party brokers.
4. Virtual Fitting Room & Fair Usage
ThreadNode provides custom-draped 2D and 3D fitting previews proportioned to your measurements. To guarantee fast service for all members, accounts are provided tiered monthly allowances based on active membership plans. You agree to upload only authentic clothing items and your own personal photos, refraining from submitting inappropriate, offensive, or unauthorized content.
5. Cross-Border Data Processing
By using ThreadNode, you acknowledge that certain automated image processing workflows (such as studio background cutouts and fitting previews) may be processed on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure located outside of South Africa. All international data processing complies strictly with POPIA Section 72 standards for transborder information flows.
6. Personal Style Guide Disclaimers
Our Personal Style Guide (Thandi) offers outfit pairing, wardrobe match scoring, cost-per-wear calculations, and fashion advice for personal styling and informational purposes. While our styling tools are crafted around proven colour coordination and tailoring principles, outfit suggestions are provided on an "as is" basis without express warranties of merchantability or outcome.
7. Age Requirements & Acceptable Use
ThreadNode is intended for users aged 18 and older. You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape, abuse service endpoints, or introduce automated malicious payloads into our systems.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act), ThreadNode and its directors shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from app downtime, external fashion store pricing changes, or third-party web store availability.
